Govt of Pakistan has announced a free online German language training programme 

The Pakistani government is launching a free online German language program to help students and professionals find better jobs abroad. This project is a team effort between the Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), GIZ Pakistan, and telc GmbH, ensuring the training meets high international standards.

How the Program Works

The course is designed to help you master German and prepare for global exams. Since it is 100% online, anyone in Pakistan can join.

  • Schedule: 3 days a week (about 9 hours of total study time).
  • What’s Included: Language lessons, test prep, and special training for those who want to become German language teachers (ToT).

Who Can Apply?

This program isn’t for absolute beginners. It is specifically for:

  • Teachers and students.
  • Professionals who already know some German.
  • Requirement: You must already be at a B1 or B2 level to qualify.

Levels & Certificates

The training focuses on advanced levels:

  • B2 Level
  • C1 Level

Once you finish, you’ll get an internationally recognized certificate (CEFR standard), which is a huge boost for your resume or university applications in Europe.

How to Join

  • Register Online: Fill out the application form.
  • Placement Test: You will take a test by telc to prove your current skill level.
  • Deadline: You must apply by April 19, 2026.

This initiative is all about giving Pakistanis the skills they need to compete in the global job market and secure better futures in Germany and beyond.
